I thrive while working on big, messy, and meaningful challenges.
I excel at quickly understanding the nuances of my client’s businesses, asking thought-provoking questions, and distilling complex topics into actionable insights.
This has led me on a fascinating tour through a large part of the healthcare industry.
I received degrees in Neuroscience and Biotechnology from University of Pennsylvania, which is where I performed the bird brain surgery that I mentioned. Turns out I’m not very good at anything that requires fine motor control or the extreme patience of scientific discovery, so off to the business side of healthcare innovation it was for me.
I started my healthcare career in strategy consulting for biopharmaceutical companies at ClearView Healthcare Partners, where I worked at the intersection of clinical science and business strategy to support commercialization of various drugs & medical devices.
Most of my initial experience in health tech came from ~7 years I spent at Big Health - a leader in digital therapeutics for mental health. There I wore almost every hat on the commercial team, leading marketing, business development, partnerships, health plan sales, and strategy at various points. You can find more info on my past roles on LinkedIn.
The last several years, I’ve enjoyed working as an advisor, consultant, and fractional leader at organizations ranging from venture capital firms and Series A startups to health tech unicorns and global pharmaceutical & medical device manufacturers.
In my personal life, I enjoy taking on the biggest, messiest, and most meaningful challenge of all - being a dad to two sweet little kids and husband to an amazing wife. When that is not enough of a challenge, I like to try to steward a budding backyard food forest and hike up big mountains with one or both kids on my back here in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
Let’s discuss your needs
I give a small number of clients my dedicated focus, so I can’t guarantee I’ll have availability to be able to work with you. That said, I am always happy to explore your needs and offer my advice in an introductory call.
